Sermons and Talks

Keep your eyes peeled for sermons I’ve preached and talks I’ve given, including school assemblies.

Here’s a christingle service from last year; the notes on the powerpoint include the scripts, so anyone can read it. It’s about taking the people through creation, up to the fall (which is the subject of a mini-sermon) and then on to salvation and redemption through Jesus. It has an obvious anglican flavour as it does contain opening and closing liturgies, but remains quite accessible. Oh yeah, the glo-stick candles are available here. It’s a bit wordy, but mostly scripture so worth a shot I think. PPT here -> Christingle 09 final

School Assemblies – during the last term we’ve been going through the gifts of the Holy Spirit from 1 Corinthians 12, one at a time, weekly. Each week includes an intro, an explanation of the gift, a thought-provoker and a prayer. The assemblies are aimed at a small group but ranging from Key stages 3 and 4. More details soon.
